Disability and Social Work. One Featureand Three Positions

What is an impairment? What is disability? What is the difference between a person with an impairment and a disabled person? This paper aims to answer these questions and respectively provides an overview of three the most dominant models of disability. In the article the attention is paid to individual, biopsychosocial and social models. Their development, the main differences and the impact on social work practices are outlined.
