From empoverment to pouvoir D’agir
Review
The use of the term empowerment is recurring since about fifteen years as soon as it is a question of the poorest. It refers to the access to more powers for the most discriminated categories: the women, the poor men or the ethnic or social minorities. However the Anglo-Saxon historicity turn it into a concept open to technical approaches. In opposite to these approaches, a French-speaking current carried by the Canadians and taken back by French, more directed on the person in dynamics, meets in the notion of Pouvoir d'Agir.
